About Sareth Build Journal
About Sareth Build Journal
Sareth Build Journal is an independent UK home-building publication run by a small editorial team, not a building firm or a lead-generation front. We are upfront that the site is run by the team behind a portfolio of niche UK guides, and that some links are paid or affiliate, marked as such. Articles are researched from primary sources: the Planning Portal, GOV.UK and approved building regulations documents, the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, Federation of Master Builders guidance, and current contractor and supplier pricing, with figures dated and a “last reviewed” note because planning fees and regs change. We do not invent named authors, qualifications or case studies. Where a claim needs professional sign-off (structural, party wall, listed buildings) we say so and point readers to a chartered surveyor, architect or building control body rather than implying we are one. Cost figures are presented as researched ranges, not quotes, and readers are told to confirm locally.
How we research
Every guide is built from primary and recognised sources, planning portals, regulations, manufacturer specs and official data, and we link out rather than hardcode figures that change. We do not invent statistics, named experts or credentials. Where we are unsure we say so, and where a reader points out a mistake we correct it.
